Entry Guidelines

The Mt Gravatt Show Student Awards is open to students in both Primary School & High School who excel in any of the 4 categories.

The aim of these awards is to highlight local school students & their acheivements.

Applications will close on Friday 19th June 2025. The winners of the awards will be advised by Friday 3rd July. Winners will be required to attend the official opening of the 2026 Mt Gravatt Show by 12:30pm on Saturday 25th July, as the prizes will be awarded after the opening ceremony.

sports excellence

This nomination category will focus on athletes who have applied themselves to the betterment of their sport(s), are an exceptional team player, and have achieved outstanding results. They may have future goals to compete at high levels, are seeking a pathway of a sports career, or giving back through coaching/mentoring. These students must represent balance in how they handle their academic, sport, family, and future aspirations.

EDUCATION

This nomination category looks to reward all of the hard work students put into furthering their scholastic knowledge and expand the horizons of their human potential. These students have earned top marks and results in their studies and are encouraged to nominate or be nominated for their efforts.

THE ARTS

This nomination category will focus on all young artists, no matter what their interest, who are passionate about creating and expressing themselves. This can be in the medium of writing, painting, drawing, sculpting, acting, singing, dancing, comedy, photography and more. We want to see how these young people are actively choosing to light the world up with their imaginations and creative talents.

COMMUNITY

We are looking for the young people with huge hearts, a generous spirit and a desire to make a difference to our community. These students are always thinking of others first and go the extra mile the ensure where there is a need there is a compassionate and generous undertaking. Whether it is through community service, community fundraising or general acts of kindness, we want to celebrate and acknowledge their efforts to make our society more compassionate, more inclusive and caring.
