Help make the Mt Gravatt Show a success

The Mt Gravatt Show Society is a non-for-profit organisation which is supported throughout the year by hundreds of hours of voluntary work. There is nothing better than the feeling of being a volunteer and have volunteers contributing to your community! The Mt Gravatt Agricultural Show is the best place to be a volunteer. About 10,000 people attend the show which makes the Mt Gravatt Show one of the biggest events that provide something for everyone in our community. Without the tireless help from the community, our show would not be the success that it continues to be.

So many individuals and community groups are involved from setting up the showgrounds, getting organised for the show, helping in the competitions, coordinating different areas of the show, catering or simply helping at Show time. No special experience is required – just a positive attitude and a willingness to help! We would love your help in any capacity you can contribute! To run an event this big requires lots of people power. So come and join us. We have lots of roles in which you could help us.

How Can You Help

Wednesday July 23rd
Showgrounds Set Up – Setting up displays, tables, chairs & marquees.
Office Support – Data entry & assisting the Secretary.

Thursday July 24th 
Showgrounds Set Up – Setting up displays, tables, chairs & marquees.
Office Support – Data entry & assisting the Secretary.

Friday July 25th 
Showgrounds Set Up – Setting up displays, tables, chairs & marquees.
Office Support – Results entry & assisting the Secretary.
Ring Set Up – Setting up of the Showjumping Equiptment & Horse Rings (4pm-6pm)

Saturday July 26th – Show Day
Section Steward – Support the cheif steward of the section with supervising the displays.
Ring Steward – Support the Ringmaster in the Main Ring. (Cattle, Sheep & Horses) (7am-2pm)
Carpark Steward – Directing traffic in the Showgrounds Carpark.

Sunday July 27th- Show Day
Section Steward – Support the cheif steward of the section with supervising the displays.
Ring Steward – Support the Ringmaster in the Main Ring. (Big Rigs & Utes) (8am-1pm)
Carpark Steward – Directing traffic in the Showgrounds Carpark.

Monday July 28th 
Showgrounds Pack Up – Packing up displays, tables, chairs & marquees.
